"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Rom. 6:23 (KJV)
JESUS CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS,

so that you would be saved to eternal life.

JesusPay

Do you accept by faith; that Jesus paid for all your sins on the cross?
Or do you want to pay for all your sins yourself?

In Romans 3:23 we can read that everyone has sinned and misses the glory of God. So the question is how can I receive forgiveness of sins. The answer: Jesus' blood is the only way of payment accepted by God and is the ONLY payment available for your soul and for all your sins.

As an illustration, imagine that your sin was to be paid for in a similar way to mobile payment systems with associated payment cards and that Jesus' payment was also in the form of a payment card, let's call this card JesusPay, and that the currency on the card was the blood of Jesus Christ (which is the idea behind the name JesusPay). If you tried to fill your own debit card with any other currency than faith in the blood of Jesus (Romans 3:25), such as your own good deeds, God would never accept your card, as it lacks the only currency that God accepts, namely the blood of Jesus.

Financially you may have several payment methods available, but there is only one payment method for sin and that is Jesus Christ, who died, was buried and rose from the dead, Jesus finished payment on the cross. So the question is, do you have JesusPay? or are you trying to pay for your debt to God with your own debit card? It's all about the Gospel of Christ, about what Christ has done for you. Your own "good works" mean NOTHING to your salvation. The Gospel is NOT about you;

  • If you give money to charity, which in itself is worth serious consideration, but it can NOT pay for your sins.

  • You will NOT even be saved if you go to church regularly (hopefully you go to church regularly because you are saved).

  • You will NOT be saved if you repeat a prayer.

  • You will NOT be saved if you were baptised in water as an infant, which is something your parents did for you. - Read the Bible's answer to the question "Behold, here is water; what hinders me from being baptised?" asked in Acts chapter 8, verse 36: The answer is in verse 37: "And Philip answered, If you believe with all your heart, you may. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.", (Acts 8:37 is a deleted verse in corrupt Bibles). An infant cannot possibly believe with all his heart and since you as an infant were NOT saved, the result of water baptism was only that you got wet.

  • You do NOT get absolution for belonging to a religious community that claims to be your salvation.

No! Your salvation is by the grace and gift of God and depends solely on whether you have received the atonement of God through faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. If you believe and trust with your heart in Jesus' payment on the cross, that he took on the punishment for your sins in your place; that he died, was buried, that he shed his blood to pay for your sins. It is through faith in the power of Jesus' bodily resurrection that we gain the victory over death, NOT because of anything you have done yourself.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. - Eph 2:8-9. (KJV)

Spiritual rebirth

Sealed with the promised Holy Ghost

Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ for what He has done for you, only then are you saved to eternal life. Jesus said: "You must be born again!". - John 3:7 (John 3:3, 1 Peter 1:23). You can NOT be born again because of your own deeds. The rebirth happens when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, after you believed:

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. - Eph 1:13-14 (KJV)

We can all receive Jesus while we live, but after death comes judgement. Therefore, don't let another moment pass without making your choice. Receive God's gift of reconciliation today, choose JesusPay by faith in the name of Jesus Christ, and begin to walk in joy on the narrow way that leads to eternal life. God has already done all that is needed through Jesus Christ - all that remains is for you to accept this gift in faith and your debt to God is eternally settled.

Read the Gospel on how to be saved to eternal life,

Through faith in Jesus' payment on the cross for your sins, through his death, burial and resurrection.

First Corinthians 15:1-4.

1. MOREOVER, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2. By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4. And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

A sermon on glad tidings of good things

The Gospel of Jesus Christ

Jesus did this for you!

”But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” - Isa. 53:5. (KJV)

The Gospel - The Good News

In a world of constant reminders of our limitations and challenges, one message stands out loud and clear: the possibility of eternal salvation through Jesus Christ. This sermon is an invitation to all who seek meaning, hope and a deeper understanding of their place in the universe. Jesus Christ, through his sacrifice on the cross, has opened a way for each of us not only to meet our Creator but also to receive the most precious gift of all: eternal life.

The word 'gospel' is more than a term; it is a promise of hope and new beginnings. The gospel of Christ is indeed good news, because it offers forgiveness of sins, restores our fellowship with God, and gives us a promise of eternal life. It is this truth that the Apostle Paul shares in First Corinthians 15:1-4, reminding us of the core of our faith - Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.

Reconciliation to God

1. SEE

You can surely see that the whole world has turned away from God to an immoral life and to idolatry. Instead, Acts 20:21 urges you to "...repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." (Repentance is not works, but a gift of God to the realisation of turning to Him. Repentance is the change of mind that leads to salvation in Christ. Acts 26:20, 11:18, 17:30, Luke 24:47, 2Tim. 2:25). 2:25) Seeing with the eyes means not only observing but truly understanding and recognising our need for salvation. The Apostle Paul speaks of this in Acts 26:18, opening our eyes to turn from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God, to receive forgiveness of sins.

2. HEAR

Of course, in order to believe in the Gospel, you must first hear it. The gospel is in 1Cor 15:1-4. Paul says from verses 3-4:

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

To hear the Gospel is to receive the message of salvation by faith. It is by hearing this message of joy that our hearts are opened to faith, as it says in Romans 10:17, "So faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

3. UNDERSTAND

Understanding goes deeper than knowledge; it is a heart revelation that transforms. Jesus himself spoke of this, of seeing and yet not seeing, of hearing and yet not understanding (Mark 4:12). It is when we understand with the heart that we can truly repent and receive the reconciliation to God (Acts 20:21, 26:20). Understand the gospel; repent and receive that Jesus died for our sin, He paid for our sin with His blood, (Eph. 1:7, Rom. 5:8) that He was buried, and by the power of His bodily resurrection, He conquered sin and death. This is in accordance with the Scriptures. Realise the truth and understand with the heart that it is ONLY Jesus Christ who is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE, that He is our only way of reconciliation to God (John 14:6).

4. FAITH

Faith is at the heart of our relationship with God. It is through faith in Jesus Christ and his finished work on the cross that we are justified before God. Acts 10:43 confirms this:

"To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins." - Acts 10:43 (KJV)

Now that you have opened your eyes, heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation and have understood the gospel with your heart, you are saved. We are saved by faith alone and salvation happens when you believe. (Eph. 1:13-14). Faith plus NOTHING.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” - Eph 2:8-9. (KJV)

Receive the gift of God

Jesus Christ died to give us a gift of infinite value - the possibility of eternal life in communion with God. This gift is available to everyone, but it takes a personal decision to accept it by faith. It is a gift that we cannot earn, but can only receive with humble hearts, recognising our need and trusting that God's grace is sufficient.

That is why we are called not to miss out on this unimaginable gift. Choose today to believe in Jesus Christ, to receive his atonement and to live in the freedom and victory that only he can offer. God has prepared this path for us, the path to salvation and eternal life, through his Son, Jesus Christ.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." - John 14:6. (KJV)

Eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ

At the heart of Christian faith is a truth that shines brighter than any other: the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. It is not just a belief or a wish, but a guarantee from God Himself, confirmed through His Son and the Scriptures are God's testimony of His Son Jesus Christ. And Jesus said this:

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. - John 5:39-40 (KJV)

The Promise of Eternal Life

The cornerstone of Christianity is the belief that eternal life is possible through Jesus Christ. This faith is not based on human works or merit, but on the infinite grace of God and the atoning work of Jesus Christ. As it says in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." It is a reminder that the ultimate outcome of life is not death, but eternal life, provided by God through His Son.

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; - Tit 1:2 (SKJVB)

Eternal Life in the Son

The Bible is clear that eternal life is given to those who have a relationship with Jesus. First John 5:11-13 powerfully confirms this: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. This is not an abstract idea but a concrete reality for those who believe. To have the Son is to have life; to lack the Son is to lack life.

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. - 1Jo 5:11-13 (KJV)

Reconciliation Through Jesus

At the heart of our faith is the understanding that Jesus Christ, through his sacrifice on the cross, became the ultimate atonement for our sins. His death, burial and resurrection are not just historical events but foundations in the building of faith. It is through faith in this atonement that we can draw near to God and obtain eternal life. Turning to Jesus means recognising and accepting His sacrifice as the only way to God.

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. - Col 1:20  (KJV)
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. - Romans 5:11 (KJV)

Security in Faith

Jesus himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). This profound truth is the basis of our salvation and the security of our faith. By believing in Jesus, we have a secure place in God's family, and nothing can separate us from His love.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 (SKJVB).

Eternal Security

The amazing thing about this promise is not only that we receive eternal life, but also that this gift is eternal and irrevocable. From the moment we choose to believe in Jesus, we become part of the Kingdom of God, sealed with the Holy Ghost as a guarantee of our salvation (Ephesians 1:13-14). This security is based not on our own actions but on God's unchanging promises and His infinite love.

Eternal life through Jesus Christ is not just a promise for the future but a living reality here and now. It changes how we live our lives, how we view death, and how we relate to God and each other. Accepting Jesus Christ and trusting in His finished work on the cross is the most crucial decision anyone can make. It opens the door to an eternal life in communion with God, filled with love, peace and joy. This is God's gift to us - a gift of eternal life through His Son. Let us therefore embrace this truth with open hearts and live our lives in the light of His marvellous promise.

Did you know that,

You have an unpayable debt to God because of your sin?

At the heart of Christianity is a message of grace and reconciliation, available to everyone through Jesus Christ. This is not just a theological principle but the basis for how we understand our relationship with God and our eternal destiny. You may not be aware of this but you actually owe a debt to God, your Creator! The debt you owe to God is not a monetary debt, but a debt through your sin.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. - 1Jo 1:8 (KJV)

All people have rebelled against God through sin, therefore we have the wrath of God upon us. God is Holy and in His eyes we are all equally unclean.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. - John 3:36  (KJV)
" But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." - Isa. 64:6 (KJV)

Understanding Sin and Reconciliation

Do you know the righteousness of God?

Yes, every human being faces an unpayable debt to God because of sin. The Bible clearly shows that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23) and that "the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23).

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. - Romans 3:10-12 (KJV)
For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. - Romans 10:3-4 (KJV)

This debt is not something we can pay for by our own efforts or good deeds; it requires a payment of infinite value.

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1Pe 1:18-19  (KJV)
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.Acts 20:28 (KJV)

Jesus Payment - Offered by Grace, received by Faith

God, in his infinite love and mercy, has provided us with the solution through Jesus Christ. Through his death on the cross and his shed blood, the payment for our sins has been made once and for all. This payment is not based on our own merits but is a gift from God, available to all who choose to believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as their Saviour.

Choosing Jesus' payment for your sins means recognising and receiving God's gift of salvation by faith. It is realising that there is nothing we can do ourselves to save us from the consequences of sin and instead relying entirely on Jesus' finished work on the cross. It is through this faith that we are justified before God, have peace with Him and secure our place in eternity.

Salvation through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ

A sermon on salvation that omits the blood of Jesus Christ is a false gospel. Paul records Jesus in Romans 3:25 "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;" Without faith in his blood there is no propitiation.

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? - Heb 10:29 (KJV)

The atoning blood of Jesus is:
  • Your only salvation from death and from eternal punishment.

  • The atoning blood of Jesus is: The atonement to God: He has made peace through the blood of Jesus' cross. (Rom. 3:25, Col. 1:13-14, 20).

  • Jesus' payment, by God's grace and gift, is available to everyone and to all who believe in the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

  • Salvation, which is available to you and takes effect the moment you come to faith.

  • Righteousness, which is given to you by God through faith in Jesus, not by your own works (Eph. 2:8-9)

  • An eternal payment, giving eternal life.

  • A payment sufficient for all men; (the sin of the whole world).

  • The only way to forgiveness of sins (Eph. 1:7)

  • The payment for ALL sins (1 John 1:7-10)

Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. - Rom. 5:9-11. (KJV)

The Konsequences of Our Choices

The choice we face is crucial and has eternal consequences. Choosing Jesus as our atonement means eternal life, while trying to pay for our own sins only leads to eternal separation from God. There is a clear dividing line; believing in Jesus gives us access to the Kingdom of God, while denying Jesus and his sacrifice leads to eternal loss.

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: - Col. 1:12-13 (KJV)

Eternal Payment and Righteousness

Jesus' payment is not only sufficient to cover all our sins, but it is also eternal and irrevocable. From the moment we believe, we are justified before God - not based on our own actions, but through Jesus' righteousness imputed to us. This gives us a security in our faith and an unconditional belonging to the household of God.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; - Eph 2:19 (KJV)
BEHOLD, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. - 1Jo 3:1 (KJV)

Your most important choice is about your Soul:

Are you sure you will go to heaven when you die?

There is an eternity in heaven for the saved and an eternity in hell for the lost. Choosing Jesus Christ's payment for your sins through faith in His blood is the most critical decision you will ever make.

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. - 1Jo 5:11-12 (KJV)
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. - 1Cor. 1:18. (KJV)

It determines your eternal future and defines your relationship with God. In this choice, there is no room for neutrality; you either choose to trust in Jesus' finished work on the cross or to rely on your own abilities, which is doomed to fail.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: - Heb 9:27 (KJV)
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: - Mat 25:41 (KJV)
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. - Matt. 25:46 (KJV)
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. - Rev 20:15 (KJV)
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. - John 3:18 (KJV)

Summary

Good tidings of good things

This life-changing sermon presented a profound and inspiring message of faith in Jesus Christ as the core of Christian faith, focusing on reconciliation, eternal life and the importance of choosing Jesus as our saviour. Through these messages, the importance of not missing out on God's gift of salvation and eternal life offered through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ was emphasised. Eternal life is not a product of our own efforts or good deeds but a gift received through faith in Jesus.

Key points:

  • The Gospel as the Good News 1 Corinthians 15:1-4: The message of Jesus Christ which is the only way through which people can regain a relationship with God, obtain forgiveness of their sins and have a hope of eternal life.

  • The importance of faith: seeing, hearing, understanding and believing the Gospel are crucial steps in receiving salvation. This sermon emphasised the importance of believing with the heart in Jesus Christ and his work on the cross.

  • The importance of choosing Jesus: Choosing Jesus Christ and His atoning death on the cross as the only means of our salvation and reconciliation with God. John 3:36 clearly states that without Jesus there is NO salvation: "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.".

  • Eternal life through Jesus: It was presented that eternal life is given through faith in the Son of God, and that this life begins the moment we believe. It is a gift that secures our future and gives us an identity as children of God.

  • The unpayable debt of our sins: The Bible shows that we cannot pay the debt of our sins by our own efforts; only Jesus' payment, through his blood, is acceptable to God.

In conclusion, this sermon calls for a deep reflection on our own faith and encourages us to wholeheartedly choose Jesus Christ as our only Saviour. By accepting God's gift of salvation, we can secure our eternal future and live a life in communion with God. It is a message that both challenges and offers indescribable hope, urging us not to miss out on the greatest gift of all: eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. Will you choose Jesus as the payment for your sins?

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! - Romans 10:13-15 (KJV)

Don't miss out on God's gift!

BE SAVED TODAY, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? - BELIEVE!

Think about it, how hard is it to accept a gift?

Behold, the day of salvation has come

  • (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now isthe accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) - 2cor. 6:2 (KJV)

  • That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)

NOW THAT YOU ARE SAVED TO ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS,

TURN IN THANKSGIVING TO GOD IN PRAYER.

(Example of prayer)

Thank you Heavenly Father for Your loving gift; that I as a sinner have now by Your grace; received the atonement through the faith of Jesus:

That Christ died for my sins, was buried and that it is only by the power of His bodily resurrection and shed blood on His cross, that I have received the forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life.

I ask for your guidance to grow in faith and knowledge of your will through the word of truth. And help me, from now on, to bear fruit in every kind of good work that pleases You.

Thank You for rescuing me from the reign of darkness and bringing me into the kingdom of Your beloved Son.

In the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - Amen!

"..Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."
